Young Researchers is an aspirational project for a select group of pupils from Year 1 to Year 9. Working in partnership with a local Teaching School (CPTSA) and the University of Birmingham and UCB pupils have the opportunity to engage in this exciting and innovative piece of work.
Now in its 6th year; A small group of pupils are guided to design and implement a research question developing whole school practice. The research is child led and supported by a staff representative from the partaking Academy as well as researchers from the Universities. Colleagues from the universities enable the children to access research libraries and discover any research that has been published on the topic they have decided to investigate.
With two visits across the year to the University with one of them being a Conference to celebrate their research and success. It really is a special project to be involved in. This is a fantastic opportunity to activate your pupil voice in shaping the strategic direction of your school.
